The prospect of a divorce action can be daunting, but the process need not be difficult with the right professional advice. We will explain clearly the process involved and offer a personal, local service, in a sensitive and friendly way.

We will discuss funding with you at the outset and, if you are eligible, will work with you to submit an application for Public Funding (also called Legal Aid).  Once the divorce action starts, we will keep you informed of any developments and will work with you right through to successful completion of the case on your behalf.

Our friendly and efficient approach is also applied with regard to other areas we undertake e.g. separation disputes between cohabitees, civil partnerships, child issues e.g. residence and contact and domestic violence, where protection by way of an injunction may be required.

In some situations an urgent remedy may be necessary (e.g. injunction) and we will act quickly and efficiently to protect a client's personal safety and, where relevant, any children involved.

Not all cases will be settled in Court and we are under a duty to resolve matters without Court action, if at all possible.  Where necessary we will explain to you the alternatives to Court action and where appropriate will help with referral to mediation.
